Mike Rea initiated into the PharmaVOICE hall of fame

NEW YORK, USA – Billed as THE forum where influential and inspirational leaders come together, the PharmaVOICE 100 Celebration returned to New York this past September.

This occasion, the second annual PharmaVOICE 100 event, hosted a panel session moderated by Amir Kalali (Head of Neuroscience Center of Excellence, Quintiles) with esteemed panelists Kathy Giusti (founder of the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation), Craig Lipset (head of Clinical Innovation at Pfizer), Melinda Richter (Head of Johnson & Johnson Innovation / JLABS) and IDEA Pharma CEO, Mike Rea.

Furthermore, and in addition to the prestigious panelist invite, Mike had been inducted into the PharmaVOICE 100’s version of the hall of fame – the Red Jacket - awarded to individuals who “have raised the bar in terms of what it means to be an inspired leader for their teams, their companies, their communities, and for the industry at large”.

Speaking to his gratitude upon hearing the announcement, Mike said “the Red Jacket award came as a bit of a surprise, however I graciously acknowledge the recognition from PharmaVOICE for the work that the team at IDEA Pharma has made in transforming the way pharma thinks and acts over the years”. And there is plenty to back up the transformational claim. Mike is recognized as one of the top 10 innovators in pharma by PharmaPhorum and has worked on more than 100 pharmaceutical brands over 25 years.

In the past 12 months, IDEA Pharma, the path-to-market design practice founded by Mike, brought thought leaders together to discuss the value of the Value Proposition (what it is, why it is an essential part of pharma development) at the Nights at the Round Table event. The January 2016 Future of Pharma panel discussion tackled head-on the multi-dimensional topic of innovation and its measurement, with June's event at BIO focused on Patient-Centered design – which isn’t about making patients want what you launch, it’s about launching what patients want. And the 2016 Productive Innovation Index, a way to rank companies by their ability to bring innovations to the market, once again made pharma sit up and take notice.
