With a background in all aspects of brand evolution from product design through to final stage commercialisation within consumer markets, Tristan adds another dynamic in shaping the way the company looks at molecules. Translating his external knowledge and expertise to fit the world of pharma, he is set to make a valuable contribution in the pursuit of Productive Innovation.
Outside IDEA life, Tristan is keen triathlete, a lover of field sports, photography and long board skateboarding
Client Services Director:
By wearing both strategic and client service hats and, in taking advantage of his 12 years' experience in pharmaceutical marketing, David ensures clients get exactly what they want, when they have asked for it, and that they have access to the best thinking. When satisfying clients isn't on his mind, David is a petrol head, motorsport lover, gig and festival-goer.
A passionate blues guitarist in his spare time, James combines
senior client-side sales and marketing success with international
benchmarking and market research agency experience of pharma
company operations and processes. He therefore is well placed
to address the particular challenges facing modern pharmaceutical
companies on all fronts.
With a career to date encompassing medical publishing, a stint
as a lawyer, and a decade in medical communications, David is
passionate in his pursuit of creative approaches to developing
and communicating IDEAs that can change how people think and
act. Among his ambitions is to write at least one line of poetry
that unfailingly conveys a fundamental truth.
Marketing and Communications Director:
From a business-to-business/corporate PR and marketing background, Jonathan has spent the past 14 years building up a wealth of experience and expertise both nationally and internationally working with global organisations. Previously running an agency specialising in PR consultancy, senior account handling and business development, he has delivered award-winning work for clients in varying industries, from strategy through to delivery/implementation - working exclusively alongside company directors and CEOs. Outside of IDEA Pharma, his passion is writing and playing music in a band.
From clinical practice (worklng in medicine, surgery and casualty) to pharma consulting, strategic planning and business development, Partha's skill set is second to none, seeing him join IDEA with over 26 years' experience with a firm grounding in early stage drug development. A champion of thought leadership, Partha loves nothing more than to challenge the norms and break conventions to deliver innovative results that work. His broad industry experience within a wide range of therapy areas and developmental stages makes him a hugely valuable and integral member to any product design team.
In his down time, Partha loves to landscape garden.
Dr Alex Gray - Partner
Principal IDEAtor, Medical Director: Challenging IDEA
Alex is a widely experienced, versatile and insightful pharmaceutical physician working as an external consultant at the clinical-commercial interface on Global, European and U.S. projects for the top ten pharmaceutical companies. In his 13 years in industry, he has consulted on a wide range of issues, including clinical trials strategy development and alignment with commercial brand vision, brand positioning development, product portfolio profiling and strategy development, brand strategy and operational plan development. In his spare time he is an avid reader, fan of Baroque music, builder of cars, and keeper of dogs, cats, ducks and geese.
Formerly a Technical Business Consultant, Jane's accounting
skills and financial business acumen keeps IDEA Pharma in check.
Acting as the company's Account Coordinator, she is tasked with
managing the finances and has an impeccable mind for detail.
Jane is currently studying for a medical degree and has a passion
for continual learning.

Ray Hilton joins IDEA from Arnold Worldwide where he successfully established the agency's credentials in healthcare, winning and working across a number of prestigious accounts within big pharma. With over 20 years' experience in launching and repositioning healthcare brands for clients such as Sanofi, GSK, Bayer and J&J, Ray has aproven track record in helping companies grow through expanded and new partnerships.
In his spare time, Ray loves to spend his time with his family.
L - IDEA
With eight years' project management experience within the
pharmaceutical industry at product delivery and distribution
level, Lidia brings a certain dynamism to the IDEA team that
firmly centres on customer service and delivering value. Her
skill set and attention to detail is second-to-none, seeing
her tackle IDEA's project delivery requirements head on.
Lidia is a fan of anything that sparkles and enjoys attending
live music concerts.
Group Office Manager
Brett joins IDEA Pharma straight from the Army where he served as a Chief Clerk for the Defence School of Intelligence for 24 years. When he was not in charge of the coffers he was operational on the front line, touring the Falklands, Bosnia, Iraq (stationed in Basra Palace) and Afghanistan. His regimented approach to his work means that nothing is left unturned, which is an approach he brings to the general running of our international offices. When Brett is not working he enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, golf and the occasional game of paint balling, just to keep his toe in with the Army lifestyle..
Vice President – West Coast
An aspiring sommelier in her very little spare time, Jacquelyn Nicholson is Vice President West Coast, heading IDEA Pharma's San Francisco office. As a 23-year veteran of the biopharma industry, she has extensive experience partnering with executives in strategy, R&D, medical and commercial amongst various top global biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies, as well as vaccines, medical devices and diagnostics. Nicholson is experienced in building teams from the ground up, and has successfully grown business globally across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. An avid half marathoner, longtime Chicago Blackhawks ice hockey fan, devoted wife, and enthusiastic mum of two, Jacquelyn is seeking excellence in combining her passions for viticulture, oenology, ice hockey, and biopharma.
Project Manager (US East Coast) :
Fuelled with direction and creativity, Amy's approach to project management is considered, methodical and efficient, delivering the highest standards possible for IDEA's clients. Amy's talent at deconstructing complex information and rebuilding it into universally understandable programmes has seen her run multiple projects flawlessly, to budget and on time.
When not focused on her career, Amy is a Vitamin D enthusiast with a serious appreciation for the pipes of Meatloaf.
With over 20 years international marketing experience in both
big and small pharma, Pankaj possesses unique insight into making
better decisions and identifying the best path to commercial
success, centered mainly around product and brand development.
When not in work Pankaj is a keen sportsman and enjoys playing
cricket for his local club, and a good game of poker.
After completing her PhD in molecular biology, Elizabeth worked
in medical communications for six years before joining IDEA
Pharma in 2006. Her particular expertise is the analysis of
competitor and environmental insights to drive the outputs
of the consultancy team. In true IDEA fashion, she is an avid
fast car fan and enjoys following motorsport and cricket when
not tending to her garden.
Mike Rea - Partner
Mike has worked in global pharma strategy for over 20 years, and has developed global marketing solutions for most of the world's top ten pharmaceutical companies. Regarded as an industry leader, Mike's principal point of interest is the incorporation of best practice into pharmaceutical strategy, and he has helped lead the strategic direction of over 50 pharmaceutical brands. Outside work,
Mike runs an independent record label, writes the UK's most widely-syndicated album review column, enjoys advanced and track driving, and plays guitar badly.
Head of Human Resources:
Clare has almost 20 years' experience in global pharmaceutical marketing, having worked in project management and account direction for global communications initiatives.
From founding IDEA Pharma in 2000, Clare has been involved in developing the consultancy team and strategic direction of IDEA. Outside work, Clare is a lover of art, Venice and fashion.
Account Director (US East Coast):
Louisa joins IDEA from IBM Consulting, and has over seven years'
experience in the pharmaceutical industry, working along the
pharma value chain, from R&D through to Sales and Marketing.
Louisa is responsible for directing all US project management
activities, delivery, and managing the value clients can derive
from the company.
In her spare time Louisa is somewhat of an adventurer and has
sailed across the Atlantic, and played rugby twice at Twickenham
for Edinburgh University Ladies Rugby Football Club.
Specialising in customer facing and logistics management,
Caroline's key function is integral to IDEA Pharma's front
end operations. In an industry where first impressions count,
Caroline ensures that our clients receive a first class service
round-the-clock, and works one-to-one with KOLs to cater for
their professional needs perfectly. From finding the perfect
venue that truly delivers the WOW factor, through to flight
management, onsite timetable planning and KOL support but to
mention a few, Caroline delivers flawlessly every time, making
her an invaluable member of the IDEA team.
Practice Head (US East Coast):
Robert joins IDEA with over 20 years' experience in healthcare marketing and brand building. Since forming TSA – a professional healthcare communications agency in Paris – he has become one of the most trusted leaders in the industry, coming to IDEA from Omnicom group where he was Executive Director, Client Services at InterbrandHealth, tasked with leading the global growth and expansion of Interbrand's Healthcare branding consultancy. Robert is tasked to lead the growth and development of the New York hub for IDEA's East Coast operations.
Outside IDEA, Robert is a connoisseur in all things french, an avid ice hockey player and a guitarist on a quest for tone.
With a background in account handling and project management
within the services sector and building industry, Sam has
acquired the versatility to tackle complex projects of varying
sizes. Sam works exclusively as part of the IDEA projects teams as a project manager, taking a hands-on-approach to delivering best practice. In his spare time he is somewhat of an entrepreneur,
running his own promotional music nights and working with
some of the hottest new bands of the moment. Sam is also studying for a human science degree.
As IDEA Pharma's Operational Director, Tracy has an untold wealth of expertise in this field, seeing her guide business intelligence for two Global health organisations under the same guise. Dubbed as Strong IDEA, her tenacious approach to business delivery is second-to-none. In her spare time she loves nothing more than walking her two Weimaraners and playing golf.
Joining IDEA direct from AstraZeneca as a medical affairs scientist, Pete has forged an illustrious career spanning 10 years within the industry, working for both big and small pharma. Vehemently charged about changing current industry practices, his main focus centres on developing pharmaceutical products of actual value, seeing him launching a multitude of successful brands in both a UK start up affiliate and large multi-national biopharmaceutical company. Pete's therapy area experience is in neuroscience, diabetes and CV portfolios, within an R&D, marketing, and medical affairs capacity.
External to IDEA, Pete is a sailing, mountain biking and rowing enthusiast, winning two Bronze and two Silver medals at the European Championships as part of the Great Britain Junior Rowing Team.
